The “Shape The Future Through Innovations: Likhang Pinoy sa MakaBAGONG Yugto” internationalization campaign launched at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG) from April 17 to 21, 2024, promotes Philippine technologies internationally, seeking collaboration, and market opportunities.
DOST, returning to the IEIG after winning gold in 2018, showcased nine (9) inventions - aligning with its goals for international impact. Using the media platform and digital opportunities on Facebook, the campaign aims to showcase DOST-supported innovations, explore international partnerships for licensing/commercialization, and raise public awareness of DOST-TAPI’s advocacy.
This campaign was recognized under the Public Relations Programs—Government Relations and Public Relations Programs—Sustainability Communication categories. As DOST's marketing arm, the institute is committed to promoting Filipino innovation and invention not just locally but globally.
“On behalf of the institute, we are truly grateful to be recognized by these awards. It is a humbling experience knowing that our efforts, contributions, and commitment are valued. We are also thankful to the DOST delegation for cooperating in making this campaign successful. With these, we still pursue bringing out the best to bring the spotlight and support the recognition of our Filipino researchers, scientists, inventors, and innovators, which they deserve. Mabuhay ang mga Pilipinong Imbentor, mabuhay ang DOST-TAPI!” statement from DOST Director, Atty. Marion Ivy D. Decena, CESO III, on receiving the awards.
