The Department of Science and Technology–Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) earned four Silver Anvil Awards at the 61st Anvil Awards, further strengthening its track record of excellence in strategic communication and public relations. The awarding ceremony was held on January 28 at Solaire North in Quezon City.

DOST-TAPI received Silver Anvil honors for its flagship communication initiatives: PhilippiNOW: Philippines’ New Opportunities, Worldwide (Investor Relations); Shape the Future through Innovations: Pagsulong sa Gintong Tagumpay (Best Use of Partnerships and Multimedia); and PHILIPPiNEXT: Philippines’ International Exposition of Technologies (Government Relations).

The PhilippiNOW campaign redefined the global promotion of Filipino technologies by addressing historically low commercialization rates of local innovations. Through insight-driven benchmarking and market analysis, the campaign curated 25 high-potential technologies from academic institutions and startups and showcased them at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The initiative positioned the Philippines as a credible innovation and investment hub, generating strong international interest, high-value investor engagements, and significant investment leads.

Meanwhile, the Shape the Future Campaign aimed to counter long-standing misconceptions about the global competitiveness of Filipino technologies. Through leveraging strategic partnerships and DOST-TAPI’s participation in prestigious international exhibitions such as the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva (IEIG), the campaign elevated locally developed innovations through compelling storytelling, unified branding, and culturally resonant communication strategies, thereby strengthening public confidence and national pride.

On the other hand, the PHILIPPiNEXT campaign highlighted DOST-TAPI’s role in convening local and international stakeholders through the agency’s first International Conference and Exposition on Innovations (ICE on I). Anchored on government relations, the initiative cultivated a cross-sector dialogue, media engagement, and international collaboration to advance intellectual property commercialization.

These recognitions add to the Institute’s growing list of accolades since 2023, bringing DOST-TAPI’s total Anvil Awards to 13. Presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards remain the highest symbol of excellence in the public relations industry, recognizing programs that create meaningful impact and shape public discourse.
