The Philippines showcased a strategically curated set of homegrown technologies, spanning the HealthTech, Climate and Sustainability, and AI Tracks in one of the world’s largest tech shows, where thousands of innovators, startups, and industry leaders from all over the world convened.
Here are 5 unique Filipino innovations featured at the London Tech Week (LTW) 2026.
1. Lab-in-a-Mug: Portable Point-of-Care Molecular Diagnostic System
Developed by The Manila HealthTek Inc., the Lab-in-a-Mug (LiaM) 3.0 is a point-of-care diagnostic system powered by Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) technology. Designed to rapidly detect vector-borne viruses and other infectious diseases, this mug-sized compact device allows healthcare providers to conduct testing in clinics, rural health units, and field settings. By reducing dependence on centralized laboratories and minimizing delays in sample transport, LiaM 3.0 helps make quality diagnostics more accessible, especially in remote and underserved communities.
2. AquaVac: Negative Wound Pressure Therapy System
AquaVac by AYO Tech Corp offers a cost-effective approach to negative pressure wound therapy for patients with chronic diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, and complex traumatic wounds.
What makes the technology remarkable is its innovative design: the developers transformed a standard aquarium pump into a vacuum source essential for wound healing. AquaVac is clinically proven and tested, validated by rigorous medical research studies.
3. Po-Lite Hollow Blocks: Prefabricated Eco-Couture Panel Wall System
Designed by Po-Lite Technology Inc., the Po-Lite Hollow Blocks are lightweight, load-bearing construction materials that are significantly stronger and tougher than conventional hollow blocks. These are made with high-strength bio-composite shells using organic fillers and indigenous Philippine resins.
Beyond durability, the Po-Lite Hollow Blocks are also customizable, so users can choose their desired colors, surface designs, and graphic art features.
4. LITHOS Climate Nanotech Suite: Purification Technologies made with Natural Zeolites
Created by LITHOS Manufacturing, the LITHOS Climate Nanotech Suite is a portfolio of mineral nanotechnology innovations, including Pre-Conditioned Zeolites, Rainfold Foldable Tank, Zeramic Filter, and Copper-Modified Natural Zeolite. This collection of technologies contributes to products and practices that help preserve food, purify water, improve air quality, protect crops, and convert methane into clean energy.
5. PathBuilder: AI-Native Learning Intelligence Platform
Makarius Smart Learning designed and programmed PathBuilder as a customizable adaptive AI learning platform that diagnoses learning gaps, personalizes mastery pathways, intervenes with learners, and verifies real outcomes. It is also a tool that aids teachers with their administrative tasks and helps students reach their goals of mastering a subject or topic suited to their learning needs.
The participating Filipino tech-based startups, alongside their featured technologies, are beneficiaries of commercialization and pre-commercialization assistance programs of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Further, the Philippine tech showcase at the LTW 2026 was mounted through the SPICE Program of the DOST-Technology Application and Promotion Institute under the PhilippiNOW campaign.
By bringing these technologies to global platforms such as the LTW 2026 held last June 8-10, 2026, at Olympia, London, DOST continues to create pathways for Filipino innovators to access international markets, forge strategic partnerships, and demonstrate that world-class solutions can emerge from the Philippines.
Join the PhilippiNOW movement and help champion our Filipino innovators as they unlock new opportunities worldwide.
“PhilippiNOW: Activating Innovations From Within” is a campaign of the Philippines’ Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) with a mission to elevate Filipino innovations onto the world stage by forging global partnerships and driving breakthrough technologies toward commercialization.
The Science and Technology Promotion for International Contest and Exhibit (SPICE) Program of DOST-TAPI supports the participation of DOST-assisted technologies, startups, and research institutions in international exhibitions, invention contests, pitching competitions, and similar global platforms. By facilitating these engagements, SPICE aims to strengthen international linkages, broaden market networks, and accelerate the promotion, transfer, and commercialization of Philippine-developed innovations.
The Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) is one of DOST's service agencies, whose primary responsibility is to promote the commercialization of technologies and market the services of other operating units of the Department. It was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 128 on 30 January 1987.
