Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Training: Eight (8) hours of relevant training
Eligibility: Career Service Professional / Second Level Eligibility
Preferred Qualification:
- Strong background on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR);
- Preferably with experience on Project Management.
- Preferably with undergraduate degree in an engineering or science field, such as in the areas of biological, nanotechnological, or molecular fields;
- Preferably with master’s degree reated to an engineering or science field, such as in the areas of biological, nanotechnological, or molecular fields.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the work of Science Research Specialist II pertaining to evaluation of project proposals or requests for assistance on invention development;
- Manage programs related to invention development, such as Intellectual Property (IP) protection; precommercialization support to technologies developed by DOST research and development institutes, SUCs and private inventors; fast-tracking of IP protection; among others;
- Provide technical consultancy services to foster and strengthen invention development;
- Assist the Supervising SRS in coordinating with the various government and private agencies in gathering and collation of patented technologies and know-how and applicability to current industry needs, fast tracking of IP protection of locally developed technologies, among others;
- Assist meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars related to job duties and responsibilities; and
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
